Arts and Crafts Mantel

We make Fireplaces from 1920s Art Deco fireplaces and classic Edwardian fireplace and mantel designs.

An impressive Arts and Crafts fire surround with many decorative features. The traditional Edwardian three panelled frieze has become five panels here by dividing the two outer ones with 'dot and dash' beading. The central panel would normally house a mirror but here it is decorated with a raised wooden oval with carvings and a central double oval boss. The legs also feature fretwork with embossed diamonds and circles.

Above the frieze is an ample three tiered moulded top shelf and below, the central moulded shelf is supported on four chunky brackets.

At the bottom of the opening the surround has been altered to suit a wide, raised hearth - the cut out being 51.75 inches wide and 3 inches high.
