Old Fireplace Inserts
Original Fireplace inserts from Edwardian to 1920s and 1930s Art Deco tiled classics.
We have a wide selection of reclaimed and restored original Fireplace Inserts.
This classic tiled Art Deco fireplace insert was originally installed in a period property in Poynton, Cheshire.
The fireplace features flame-like mottled glaze tiles with brown, beige and some purple shades.
The Art Deco motif in small square mosaic tiles with a pearlescent glaze is inset underneath an arch that tops the fireplace opening.
The fireplace insert comes with a number of the matching original tiles that were originally fitted flush with floor level in the room where the fire was installed. These tiles could either be supplied loose with the fireplace or be used in the making of a prefabricated raised hearth for the insert.
The fireplace insert has had some minor repairs around the fire opening but the tiles used in its making are of exceptional quality. The piece will look little different in a further 50 years, even with daily use.
Fireplace Condition is Very Good
Glass fronted gas fire restrict the escape of heat up the chimney and give very high efficiencies (87%).
These gas fires are all convector fires and return hot air from the back of the fire into the room.
Keep you and your family safe with a Carbon Monoxide detector.
CO Alarms measure low levels of Carbon Monoxide providing an early warning of the build up of this toxic gas.
New legislation requires that a carbon monoxide detector is installed in the room for all new or replacement solid fuel appliances.
We make the largest range of hearths that you can find in the UK. They are all suitable for solid fuels or for use with a stove, gas or electric fire and with a bespoke service at no extra cost.
